Another thing that you can do with your kids is to fly a kite. This can be a great thing to do during windy weekends. There are kites being sold in most toy stores. You can just purchase one or two for you and your kid and have a fun time flying your kites.
However, creating your own kite with your kids can be more fun. You can let them pick out designs from different sources, and then provide them with the right materials. You should supervise your kids while they're making their kites. Once they're done, you can help them fly it in the air. They can enjoy it more, while seeing their own creation soaring in the wind.
3. Gardening
If you have a garden at home, you can let your kids help do the gardening. You can have them plant on your garden and allow them to take care of it. They can have fun planting and can continue watching the progress of their plant as it grows each day. You can have them plant herbs, trees or even vegetables.
If you don't have a garden at home and if your kids really like planting, then you can let them plant something in small boxes or in pots.
4. Ball games
Playing sports can also be fun. This can provide your kids with entertainment and have some bonding time with you. It can be fun playing basketball with them on your drive way. Aside from this, there are also lots of other stuffs that you can do like playing soccer, teaching your kid how to play pool, etc.
